OPPORTUNITIES

McMaster University CSEB student chapter provides the opportunity to promote the professions of epidemiology and biostatistics at all levels of student body, graduate and undergraduate. Getting involved with the chapter is a great way of acquiring the skills necessary to do well in a research environment. Take a look at some of our opportunities!

Executive Positions

FIRST YEAR REP (2)

  • Help the CSEB’s effort to advertise on campus to promote the organization and increase accessibility to research skills and opportunities within the first year student population.

  • Perform duties that are from time to time assigned by the President, executive or general membership.

  • Familiarize with CSEB’s operations, missions, and events in preparation to advance to other Executive Positions later.

VP ADMINISTRATIONS

  • Write meeting minutes and ensure that they are posted in Google Drive within one day of the meeting

  • Book rooms for every CSEB meeting and reminding all members.

  • Responsible for reading any club associated emails daily and sending out important updates and announcements to executives as well as general members within one day of receiving a request to do so.

VP ACADEMICS

  • Spearhead academic workshops (research skills workshop, research networking events etc.)

  • Contact guest speakers (professors, graduate students, medical residents) for our events.

  • Have basic knowledge in research, epidemiology, and biostatistics.

  • Prepare slides for guest speakers upon request.

  • Communicate with the student body to gather their topics of interest.

VP PROMOTIONS

  • Take photos and video as required at club events and gatherings.

  • Book audio/visual equipment for club meetings, events, and other gatherings

  • Carry out other duties as requested by the President.

  • Plan out promotional strategies and assign other members task during promotions.

  • Organize schedules and ways to promote CSEB events on campus

TECH TEAM (3)

  • Manage the official website (http://csebmcmaster.com) and provide regular updates.

  • Design posters/videos to promote club events & initiatives.

  • Experience with digital media (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, PPT) is a huge asset.
